Light and Not Darkness

“For you were once darkness, but now you are “light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.” Ephesians 5:8.

Those of us who are faithful Christians, real children of God must shine as light. Not all lights are of the same magnitude, but the nature of light is always the same. There are places where the smallest light is of essential service, such as lighthouses. We all can shine to the measure of our ability in the sphere of influence which God gives us; by our love, courage, service and our joy. The light of life must shine forth in every phase of our life as we work and as we play or the world will be in darkness. The feeblest of us may cheer many and save at least one soul by letting our lights shine. We must continually strive to be an everyday Christian. We will be put under the test. Our influences stretch much farther than we will ever know, therefore we should be ever watchful. The world is watching our every act and each of us has some influence either for good or evil. There is no better way to help Christ win the world to Himself than by our own influence. The Bible tells us that we are to walk circumspectly as Christians. We will be held responsible for our influence over others. “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16. Everyone have a blessed and safe day! I love you all!
